Rantin' and Rovin'

About Me

I am a 24 year-old archaeologist working primarily in the British Isles, though from 2009 to 2013 I worked in Southeast Asia. I’m currently in Glasgow studying for an MLitt in Celtic and Viking Archaeology.

My primary focus is on interaction in western Britain during the first millennium AD, particularly through exchange of goods.  My research seeks to understand the nature of interaction within western Britain and further afield as evidenced by patterns in the distribution of glass beads.  My hope is to deepen our understanding of intercultural interaction and the roles played by western British populations in this period.

At the same time, I hope to spread knowledge about archaeology and archaeological study to those not in the field, hence the blog!
